System Overview
Harmonik has developed a unique Shock-Mount® system for its microphones, which mechanically isolates the microphones in the body of the accordion, absorbing the mechanical vibrations that are produced whilst playing. This results in a much clearer and more natural sound. With 5, 4 or 3 directional microphones for the right hand (depending on the size needed), and one omnidirectional microphone for the bass, this system is able to capture the full extension of keys at the same volume, from the lowest to the highest notes. The Harmonik microphone system possesses the versatility to be adapted to accordions of any size – from 8 to 120 buttons, keyboard or button based, diatonic or chromatic.

The Harmonik AC5001-FS model was designed for fans of the pure accordion sound, and who requires extremely loud volumes without worrying about feedback. The main function of this model is the automatic suppression of feedback. The FS function knob eliminates frequencies with a simple click of a button. And the best part, without compromising the timbre of the accordion’s sound. It sounds like magic, but it’s actually pure technology. This allows the accordionist to use extremely high volumes on stage, without relying on the sound technician and extra equipment resources.

For the accordionist looking to expand the sound possibilities, the Harmonik AC5001-FX model is the answer. With effects designed specifically for the accordion such as variable vibrato and octaver for the basses, this model is the perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Variable vibrato offers a universe of timbres from Classical and Jazz music, with little vibrato, to Italian music and French, which has a lot of vibrato. The musician chooses the vibrato intensity in any register of the accordion, creating an infinite range of sounds that fit any musical style. The vibrato can be set at 100%, 50%, 25%, 1% or zero.
To add extra depth to the sound of the basses, the AC5001-FX model features the Octaver effect, which adds solid and powerful bass, but maintains the natural timbre characteristic. The sensation is that you are playing with an electric bass, making it a huge difference in solo performances and small ensembles.
Another new feature of these models is the digital switching between mono and stereo modes which is done with just a simultaneous click between two buttons, without the need to open the accordion grill. It is extremely fast and practical to use.
To bring even more fidelity, Harmonik have added an external microphone emulation to the bass sound, resulting in an extremely natural tone. It’s like having studio sound on stage.

The AC1001-DUAL model is designed to capture the natural sound of the accordion more evenly and completely. It features two rows of microphones under the grill, making it the perfect solution for large chromatic or fifth reed block accordions. The accordionist is able to accurately balance the sound of their accordion notes between registers. The balance control of the pairs of microphones can be adjusted internally or externally. For example, in the case of a cassotto accordion, the adjustment allows the player to emphasise the reeds that are on resonance and to find the balance with the reeds that are out of resonance. In the case of a standard accordion, it allows the perfect adjustment between the white and black keys.
Suspended by a flexible cable, the Harmonik AC1001-DUAL pickup microphones can be freely positioned to easily adapt to the constructive characteristics of each accordion, from 8 to 120 basses. The AC1001-DUAL pickup also features tone controls for the bass and keyboard and a mono/stereo switch.

The Harmonik AC5001-RG model carries the signature design and endorsement of the master accordionist Richard Galliano. This project was conceived by Richard with the sound engineer Remi Borcereau, aiming to obtain the maximum quality and sound dynamics, representing a technological leap for accordion microphones.
“I’ve been searching for a long time for a powerful microphone system, either for use on stage or in theatres. I wanted a system with optimal sound quality and the best microphones. We made a special signature model named ‘Richard Galliano’ according to the advice of the sound engineer who I work with regularly: Remi Borcereau. To avoid periodic battery replacement, Remi advised me to use a stereo XLR jack. When I get to the stage, I just need to connect to an input with Phantom power 48 volts and that’s it. This system works wonderfully well.”
In only one connector, the RG model delivers two balanced audio outputs that are immune to noise and interference, eliminating the use of DIs and delivering an even cleaner sound.
“When I work with other sound engineers, I get compliments about this system. They are often surprised because they have never heard of such a powerful system as Harmonik.”
This model provides individual volume control for the bass and keyboard sides as well as a mono or stereo output switch according to the needs of the musician. In addition the accordionist can choose phantom power or 9 volt battery power, which is automatically recognised by the system.
“Honestly, this system changed my life. I always had this concern in relation to the microphones’ imbalance on stage. And in relation to monitors, Harmonik is perfect because there is no feedback and it allows me to hear myself when I’m playing with a drummer, bassist or guitarist. Even with the monitors in front of me, I can turn the volume up as much as I want. I re-emphasise, there is never a feedback problem.”
The highest quality jacks and plugs contain a lock and gold-plated connectors which ensure comfort and functionality for accordionists on stage and in the studio.
“Above all, I appreciate the musical quality that Jonatan [at Harmonik] used to create these microphones, as he is an excellent musician who knows the accordion very well and plays it wonderfully. He knows all the problems inherent to the accordion. There are harmonics that need to be adjusted so the quality of the sound can be the same as when you are playing acoustically. I advise everyone to use this system which for me is the best. I’ve searched all my life for this, and even into my seventies, and I have never found a system that satisfies me so much. Congratulations Harmonik! I am very happy.” - Richard Galliano.

Eleven Good Reasons To Choose Harmonik Microphones
1.) You’ll find the right model for your accordion and for the style of music you play. Harmonik offers a line of pickups with several prices and resources, serving from the simplest accordions up to the highest value ones, from 8 to 120 basses.
2.) You will amplify the real sound of your accordion. Harmonik microphones were developed with high quality and fidelity condensers in order to capture and reproduce the sound of you accordion as accurately as possible.
3.) You’ll hear yourself with a loud volume on the monitor. Harmonik microphones were designed to capture the best quality of your accordion’s sound, as well as to fully reject the sounds from the outside and surrounding environment, thus allowing you to have a cleaner and more defined sound when you play.
4.) You will have the practicality of plugging-in and playing. Just like that. Harmonik microphones were designed to be easy to use. Powered by a 9V battery, just connect a P10 cable, without the need for any external equipment to work.
5.) You will be able to adjust the volume and tone of your accordion yourself, as you please. Harmonik models feature individual volume for the keyboard and the basses. Besides that, some models feature “tone control”, which allows you to adjust the keyboard and basses sound so that you get more independence to reach the sound you want.
6.) It will be easy for you to use a pickup without bad contacts, interference or noise problems. Harmonik pickups feature gold-plated locking connectors, which ensure a great connection.
7.) You will have feedback issues reduced to practically zero. Harmonik pickups use highly directional microphones that along with the high-fidelity electronics allow great isolation between your accordion’s sound and the environment sound, thus reducing ambience noise and feedback on stage.
8.) Besides using the pickup live, you can also use it for studio recording with amazing quality. Harmonik pickups feature high-fidelity microphones which capture your accordion’s sound with high-definition.
9.) Harmonik pickups are very easy to install. Harmonik was concerned about several details. The connections, cables, potentiometers’ size, jack; everything to make installation easier.
10.) You will be guaranteed by the factory if you need any support help. Harmonik is a Brazilian company which gives up to 2 years warranty for its products, providing fast and easy service. For Australian customers Reedworks is an authorised reseller and installer for Harmonik microphones.
11.) The best accordionists in Brazil and the world choose Harmonik microphones.
